Please help by doing any of these, whether you are a member or not:

easyfundraising logo
‘easyfundraising’ is an online shopping directory of over 2,700 retailer’s websites, including big names such as Amazon, Boots, John Lewis, M&S, eBay, Next, Argos, Tesco, ASDA, Sainsbury’s, Lakeland and Debenhams. The Friend’s has a special link to easyfundraising, and if you shop online via the link, a percentage of the purchase price is donated to the Friends at no cost to you.

This is a well-established UK scheme, adopted by many charity groups. If you have any queries please see:  www.easyfundraising.org.uk/how-it-works/

Firstly you need to register as a user of the easyfundraising site, so go into:
https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/support-a-good-cause/step-1/?char=66165
and complete the form. (Please opt for Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer, to increase the benefit to the Friends).

Then when you wish to shop, go into:  https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk   and log in. Then select or search for the retailer, and their normal website appears. If you then make a purchase, the system will trigger a donation from the retailer to the Friends.

Please use this system for your online shopping, and get friends, family and work colleagues to do the same. It’s a great way of helping the Friends at no cost to you.

Help with an event
Our events are good fundraisers and can be great social occasions, but the graft usually comes from committee members and the same few dedicated helpers. Can you help by say, doing leafleting, putting out tables and chairs, or helping with bar work? Contact Bill on 01206 735770 or bill.tamblyn@aspects.net

Do your own thing
Do feel free to hold your own event or do your own activity in aid of the Friends. And if you can let us know beforehand, we can publicise it on this site. Contact Geoff from here

Give feedback and ideas
Please comment on our events, or suggest other ways we can fund-raise. Also we need fresh ideas for this website, and your thoughts on how the Friends can develop.  Email from here

Spread the word
Please do your bit to increase awareness of this website. Tell your friends, family and work colleagues about it, and quote the web address:  www.friendsofstmaryspeldon.org.uk

Bereavement
There is a growing trend for families to ask for donations to a charity instead of flowers at funerals. If this is of interest, please choose The Friends of St. Mary’s Peldon as the nominated charity.

Doing a boot sale or garage sale?
Please consider a percentage of the takings being in aid of the Friends of St. Mary’s Peldon.

Do you have a sporty friend or relative?
If they intend to be sponsored for an event, could their chosen charity be the Friends of St. Mary’s Peldon?

Time for a sponsored challenge of your own?
Whether you are a serious sportsperson or just want to do a sponsored ‘something’, please consider the Friends of St. Mary’s Peldon as your chosen charity. Contact Stewart on 01206 735144 or stewart@bilsland.net
