Provisional calendar of events for 2020

In addition to ‘The Devil’s Trill’ (which is a confirmed event), the following calendar is provisional at this stage:

2nd April, at St. Mary’s, 7.30pm, ‘Music and Sweet Poetry’ – Verse and song with local poets, singers, and Octavia. £12 (£8 Friends in advance).

6th May, at St. Mary’s, 7.30pm, ‘Do it Yourself!’ – How to set about researching your house, your farm, your barn, your church etc. Guided by experts Patrick Denny and Friends. £12 (£8 Friends in advance).

13th June, at Lodge Lane, Peldon, 11am to 4pm, Peldon Fete and Dog Show – The Friends are part of a local group of local organisations who create this exciting event. A great family day out. £2.50 adults, £1 children, £6 family ticket.

22nd July, at St. Mary’s, 7.30pm, ‘Peldon Miscellany’ – poets, musicians, actors, story tellers. £12 (£8 Friends in advance).

16th September, at St. Mary’s, 7.30pm, ‘Peldon in World War Two’ – Elaine Barker reveals the stories of local villages – a one hour presentation and then time with presentations and exhibitions and of course Questions! £12 (£8 Friends in advance).

4th October, at St. Mary’s, 4pm, ‘The Genius of Beethoven’ – Concerto in C minor for two pianos, and other works – Dominic Moore, Madeleine Venner, Alex Wakeling. £12 (£8 Friends in advance).

21st October, at St. Mary’s, 7.30pm, Friends AGM.
