CONFIRMED Autumn programme of events (Amended 30 August)

Things resume in a rather measured way from September. The Wardens have found a layout for the church that satisfies the government guidelines and allows professional performers to perform from the front of the church. Also cleansing fluids, masks and so on are available.

Wednesday 9 September, 7.30pm, ‘A Century of Song’. Congregational music in country chapels since 1920. Prof Bill Tamblyn repeats his talk already given in other Essex churches.

Wednesday 30 September, 7.30pm, ‘Music and Sweet Poetry’, Readings from the rural poet John Clare, to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Rural Life, his first published poems.

Sunday 4 October, 4pm, ‘The Genius of Beethoven’, Concert with Dominic Moore (violin), and friends. More details to follow. Please note the start time of 4pm.

Wednesday 21 October
