The AGM was held on 29th November with 15 people present.
After the preliminaries the Treasurer introduced the Financial Report for the financial year 1 September 2015 to 31 August 2016. To the nearest pound, the starting balance was £8,645, profit from events was £2880, income from subscriptions & general donations was £1680, misc. income items and general expenses was -£116, and £235 was donated to St. Mary’s PCC towards building works. The end of year balance was £12,853.
The Election of Officers resulted in the existing committee being re-elected (Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and Publicity Officer).
The Secretary gave a review of the year’s events held. Items discussed were the Friends website, a draft list of activities for 2017, and ideas for new events. Also the north door leading to the north porch was discussed, with a view to it being removed, displayed, and replaced by a new door to provide security to the north porch area.
The Treasurer explained that the Friends Constitution document needs to be amended in line with Charity Commission requirements. A draft new document had been circulated beforehand, which was approved by the meeting.
