A delightful concert with light music for Strings by Karl Jenkins, Percy Grainger and Piazzola; wind music by Gerschwin, Irving Berlin and Freddie Mercury; and Octavia’s usual blend of songs from Africa, Europe, and a couple of Tamblyn originals.
Elaine Barker presented delightful anecdotes from her work on the Peldon History Project.
It was particularly nice to see a full church, and of course many thanks to Alma and Jan (and no doubt a few other cooks) for the refreshments at the interval.
The mix of entertainment obviously worked. Perhaps we should do it again sometime.
