Dominic Moore, Peldon’s professional violinist, and Colchester-raised pianist Andrew Quartermain play Milhaud’s iconic, virtuoso, comic masterpiece ‘Le Boeuf sur le toit’ (The Bull on the Roof) and César Franck’s beloved Violin Sonata.

The Friends of St Mary’s are exceedingly grateful to Peldon’s amazing professional artist, Steve Sharpe, for his extraordinary illustration of the title work ‘The Bull on the Roof’. Steve has kindly offered for his original illustration to be auctioned on the night to raise funds for the Friends of St Mary’s.

Doors open 6.30pm, performance begins at 7pm

Dominic Moore was a scholar at the Royal College of Music. He has recorded many soundtracks for film and TV, including The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Dr Who, Miss Marple, Downton Abbey, The Crown, Call the Midwife and Poldark. He was acting leader of the West End production of Phantom of the Opera and has led many of the UK’s leading orchestras.

Andrew Quartermain is CEO and Artistic Director of Pro Corda Trust, one of the largest music charities and course providers in Europe. Whilst at school he won the prestigious Chorister of the Year and achieved the highest mark in an Associated Board exam. He continued his studies at Cambridge and the Guildhall School of Music.
