Notes from the Friends AGM – 2015

This year’s AGM was held on 28th October and was attended by 11 members.

After the preliminaries the Treasurer introduced the Financial Report for the financial year 1 September 2014 to 31 August 2015. To the nearest pound, the balance at the start of the year was £29,187 and the income for the year after costs & expenses expenses was £4,374. £25,000 was paid to the Church for restoration/improvement projects, leaving a Net Worth on 31 August 2015 of £8,561. The £4374 breaks down into profit from events (£3786), income from subscriptions & general donations (£760), and misc. income items and general expenses (-£172). It was noted that since its formation in 2006, the Friends has provided a total of £45,351 for Church fabric projects.

The election of Officers resulted in the existing committee being re-elected. The Webmaster was re-appointed.

Membership of the Friends is now 54 people + the life members.

The list of Trustees on record at the Charity Commission needs revising. The Meeting agreed on a new list to be registered.

A small team has been set up to enlarge the Friends merchandise, and to develop it’s display and ways of payment.

The Meeting was informed about the situation regarding the Wigboroughs  v. Peldon annual cricket match. Also the meeting was advised about the 100th anniversary of the Zeppelin crash (to be a major event in the Wigboroughs on 24 September 2016).
