The Bishop of Colchester has helped launch our plans for this year’s Peldon Village Fete, which will include an aerobatic display as well as the traditional fun.
The Right Reverend Roger Morris climbed the 83 steps of the tower at St Mary the Virgin Church to look at the route the YAK 52 plane will take.
The plane is sponsored by Colne Valley Electrical and during the display, pilot Nigel Willson will fly over the fete and across the adjacent Abberton Reservoir.

Bishop Roger said: “The church has been a focal point of this village for a thousand years. I hope plenty of people will turn out on June 9, have fun and support the efforts of The Friends of St Mary’s.”
